MGWC Gems United donated to the Sock Drive for the homeless hosted by Wardrobe stylist Peggy Taylor of PTaylor designs. It is always a honor to help give back to those in need especially during the holiday/winter time when it's cold and many go without daily necessities like food, clothes and shelter. This is what Peggy Taylor wrote via her social media page,
"A huge thank you goes out to Karen Roberson and her lovely young women of GEMS UNITED for their generous sock donation #4Bags. Homeless men, women and children will be truly blessed. My heart and spirit are smiling and I know theirs will be too. I'm truly grateful for your huge hearts."
It was our pleasure! You can count on us to make another donation in 2017!!

On November 12, 2016 MGWC and GEMS United volunteered at the Healthy Compton Event Honoring Compton's own Venus and Serena Williams. The Girls were excited to not only meet the Williams sisters but to help give back to the community of the great City of Compton!
The event was beautiful! They provided everything for the whole family. The event had various vendors giving information on healthy living, how to grow your own organic fruits and vegetables, self care, health and fitness, healthy eating and so much more.
We were extremely honored to be a part of such an empowering event and to welcome the Williams sisters back home to the City of COMPTON! We love you Venus and Serena!
